Rev. Fr. Prof. Donatus Mathenge has published Eighteen research papers, which have featured in many international journals, namely;

International Journal of Business and Social Science, European Journal of Business and Innovation Research, Journal of Energy Technologies and Policy, International Journal of Business, Humanities and Technology, European Journal of Business and Management, Journal of Education and Practice Research, Journal of Finance and Accounting, International Affairs and Global Strategy, Industrial Engineering Letters, American International Journal of Contemporary Research, Global Journal of Management and Business Research Administration and Management.

Some of the topics addressed in these journals include, ethical issues in money mobile transfer, human resource, accounting and supply chain management and procurement, engineering and construction, cooperate governance, value system in commercial banking, education and training, energy and environmental ethics, police integrity and Leadership.

His first book entitled, Fundamentals of Business Ethics and Values, was published by International Institute of Science Technology and Education (IISTE) in the year 2012, in New York.

His second book entitled; Ethics in security Management and criminal Justice was published by Jomo Kenyatta Publishers in Kenya.
